The exhibition "HORIZONS" is presented in the capital of Turkey

07.11.2023

From November 7th to 11th, the exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art "Horizons" organized by the art project "We and World" of the Kozytskyi Charity Foundation is taking place in Ankara.

It's worth noting that this is the first exhibition of such scale held in Ankara since the beginning of the war.

WHY "HORIZONS"?

The name of this exhibition arose from the desire to see the dream horizon of a peaceful and calm sky, without sirens, shelling and combat vehicles.

Most of the works painted during the war convey through the prism of the artists' perception the emotional and spiritual state of all Ukrainians who, despite the tragic circumstances, continue to live, defend and develop their country.

The exhibition presents 67 works of art by 37 artists from different cities of Ukraine.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the Embassies of Australia, Argentina, the USA, Austria, Sri Lanka, India, the Czech Republic, and Singapore.

A sincere thanks for the colossal support to the very active Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar and his wife Kateryna Bodnar, the owners of the RC ART gallery and the auction house - Yulia Ergene and Rahmi Çöğendez.

We were glad to welcome guests from Ukraine: Executive director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation Vladyslav Berkovsky and the Ukrainian Crimean Tatar politician and public figure Refat Chubarov, who highly appreciated the works of the artists.

We were also pleased by the special attention paid to Ukrainian art by Turkish business representatives, educators and Turkish art connoisseurs.

Our exhibition was visited by several local media outlets.

The exhibition was held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Entrepreneurs Association in the auction house Bilkent AVM (alt kat), Türkiye/Ankara/ Çankaya.
