“Revising Values: A Ukrainian Perspective” Opens in Porto
12.06.2026
On June 11, 2026, the exhibition Revising Values: A Ukrainian Perspective opened at MMIPO – Museu e Igreja da Misericórdia do Porto in Porto, Portugal. The exhibition features works by four Ukrainian artists: Liubomyr Medvid, Geiza Dyorcke, Makar Moskaliuk, and Taras Haida.
The exhibition attracted a large audience on its opening day, including representatives of the diplomatic corps, Portuguese cultural institutions, the Ukrainian community, and local authorities.
Revising Values: A Ukrainian Perspective explores a period of profound reassessment of values — on a global scale, within Ukraine, and in the inner world of the individual. The exhibited works address themes of personal and societal transformation in times when familiar reference points lose their relevance, while freedom, dignity, solidarity, and the right to one’s own voice acquire new meaning.
The exhibition was officially opened by:
• Khrystyna Berehovska, Director of ZAG Gallery, Project Curator, Doctor of Art History;
• Dr. António Tavares, President of Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto;
• Dr. Jorge Sobrado, Cultural Advisor to the Porto City Council;
• Dr. Alberto Santos, Secretary of State for Culture of Portugal.
