“Revising Values: A Ukrainian Perspective” Opens in Lublin
28.10.2026
From October 28 to 31, 2026, the Lublin Cultural Centre in Poland is hosting Revisiting Values: Ukrainian Perspectives, an exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art.
The project seeks to re-examine values on a global scale, in Ukraine, and at the level of the individual.
The exhibition is held with the support of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin.
The exhibition features works by four artists: Liubomyr Medvid, Géza Derke, Makar Moskaliuk, and Taras Haida. The artists include lecturers at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, as well as a Ukrainian service member whose personal experience of war has become an integral part of his artistic expression.
The project explores the inner transformations of individuals and society at a time when familiar points of reference are losing their force, while freedom, dignity, solidarity, and the right to have one’s voice heard are taking on new meaning. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the values that shape our choices and on the need to reassess them in times of crisis and adversity.
The exhibition’s official opening was attended by:
• Roman Shepeliak — Consul General of Ukraine in Lublin;
• Maria Mazur — Representative for Immigrant Integration in the Lublin Voivodeship;
• Stanisław Adamczak — Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Chełm;
• Agata Sakowicz — Director of the Polish Culture Centre in Lviv;
• Bohdan Likasiк — Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Lublin;
• Khrystyna Berehovska — Director of ZAG Gallery, exhibition curator, Doctor of Art History, and Professor at the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
“Revisiting Values: Ukrainian Perspectives” is an invitation to engage in a dialogue about how war, social change, and personal experience shape our understanding of freedom, responsibility, dignity, and human solidarity. Through contemporary Ukrainian art, the project creates a space to reflect on the changes taking place in the world, in Ukraine, and within each of us.
