🤝 The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine Expresses Gratitude to the Founder of the Kozytskyi Charity Foundation, Zinoviy Kozytskyi, for Supporting the Documentary Film Project "Salina Through the Eyes of Descendants"!
💕 On January 29, 2025, the cinema hall of the Officers' House in Lviv was filled to capacity for the premiere screening of the historical documentary Salina Through the Eyes of Descendants.
🫶 The Kozytskyi Charity Foundation had the honor of supporting the creation of this historical film, which sheds light on the tragic events at the Salina salt mine in June 1941. During this dark chapter of history, NKVD forces brutally executed over 3,500 Ukrainians, Poles, and Jews—among them Ukrainian patriots, intellectuals, students, clergy, OUN members, and, most heartbreakingly, infants and children.
😢 The mass execution at the "Salt Grave" of Salina stands as a harrowing testament to the brutal repressions of the Stalinist regime, which sought to crush Ukraine’s aspirations for independence. For decades, the Soviet authorities cynically concealed this truth, but today, historical justice is being restored.
🔥 The Kozytskyi Charity Foundation and Zinoviy Kozytskyi personally express their heartfelt gratitude to the project’s initiators, particularly the Head of the Lviv Regional Organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Yaroslav Klymovych, and all those involved in bringing this vital piece of history back to the public consciousness.
