The First Theatre Premieres a Play by Zenyk Kozytskyi

On January 10, Lviv hosted the premiere of The Little Prince, a stage production written by Zenyk Kozytskyi and inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s iconic novella.

For everyone present, the evening became a deeply symbolic act of remembrance, as the premiere was timed to coincide with Zenyk’s birthday. In this special atmosphere, the actors served as guides to the young playwright’s personal experience. The play weaves together autobiographical elements, reflections on the world we live in, and an existential author’s interpretation of Saint-Exupéry’s bestseller.

The Little Prince emerged as a profound reflection by a young author on the meaning of human existence, friendship, love, choice, and responsibility. Through the performance, the playwright raises pressing questions of our time — “Where are we going?” and “What will we leave behind?” — inviting the audience to reflect and seek their own answers.
