The second consecutive year of living in a state of war has created a significant burden on physical and rehabilitation medicine in Ukraine. Many patients with complex mine-explosive injuries have emerged, requiring timely treatment and long-term professional rehabilitation recovery. As a result, medical institutions are experiencing a significant shortage of both professional staff to provide necessary rehabilitation for patients with severe injuries and a critical shortage of rehabilitation equipment.
In May of this year, the well-known company Guldmann, based in Denmark and engaged in the development, production, and sale of technology for people with disabilities, as well as work tools for those who help and care for them, donated rehabilitation equipment worth 93,918 euros to the Kozytskyi Charity Foundation. The complete set is represented by GH3+ and GH1 ceiling hoist systems along with the necessary accompanying components – lifting brackets, suspension rails, and charging systems.
During June, in response to requests from medical institutions from various regions of Ukraine, the Foundation supplied GH3+ and GH1 body lift systems to seven medical institutions. Specifically, the GH3+ ceiling hoist systems was installed in the rehabilitation department of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University Hospital, Medical Clinic of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans, the mixed-type Municipal Institution "Lviv City Center for Social Services and Rehabilitation 'Dzherelo'", the physical and rehabilitation medicine department of the Dnipro City Council City Clinical Hospital No. 4, and the acute and long-term rehabilitation department of the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital". Additionally, the Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center of the National Committee for Sports of Disabled People of Ukraine was equipped with two GH1 ceiling hoist systems.
Together, we can do more!
