BIRDS: Contemporary Ukrainian Art Exhibition in Norwich, UK

06.10.2024

The "We and World" project of the Kozytskyi Charity Foundation launched a Contemporary Ukrainian Art Exhibition titled "BIRDS," held on October 6, 2024, in Norwich, Great Britain.

According to art historian Kristina Berehovska, "Our exhibition is dedicated to the concept of 'BIRDS.' The main goal of the exhibition is to showcase an emotional associative array of ornithological images and diverse visuals of nature, presented in a somewhat epic, perhaps folkloric context. Each artist has found their unique creative path to understanding and accepting the modern realities in which they must work, reflecting these experiences through the language of art, whether literally or interpretively. The project's aim is to demonstrate the 'RESILIENCE OF UKRAINIANS,' particularly artists who, despite challenging circumstances, continue to create high-quality work in Ukraine."

The exhibition features 41 works of painting, graphics, and sculpture by twenty-one artists. All participating artists reside in different regions of Ukraine and represent various models of Ukrainian regional art schools.
